About
As a kid growing up in the New England hamlet of Hanover, New Hampshire, Jonny Drubel’s musical talents were discovered early. He first found his passion for singing at the age of 10 while performing sacred music. Drubel started voice training at every opportunity, making his parents take him to daily voice lessons during the school lunch hour and performing at summer camps and choirs across the country. From the beginning, Drubel’s goal of becoming a professional musician has never been in doubt.
Living in a small New England town, Drubel knew that eventually he would have to leave in order to pursue the kind of career in entertainment he wanted. Initially he planned to attend Julliard or Oberlin to study music, but his plans changed after famed vocal coach Seth Riggs heard him sing. Riggs—whose students have included Ray Charles, Josh Groban, and Michael Jackson—told Drubel that he needed to move to Los Angeles and study with him. Drubel immediately adjusted his high school curriculum, graduated a year early, and moved to Los Angeles to learn from Riggs.
Riggs also encouraged Drubel to write more music, something that Drubel realized almost immediately he had an aptitude for. Drubel has written for best selling artists and his work has been featured on MTV, VH1, E! and CBS.
Drubel has continued his endevors in entertainment by becoming a cast member on E!'s reality series #RichKids of Beverly Hills. Jonny enjoys being part of the cast and has learned to love the production process of television. Through his visionary mind frame, Drubel has started developing his own projects and has begun working with Danny Rose Media.
